Single storey building

Not really a roof shape as such but many people ask the question so we have dedicated a page to it.

3 basic options

1. Low pitch, not always suitable and it does have drawbacks
2. Over sail roof, artificially increases the height at the back of the verandah
3. Double pitch roof - Roof slopes up and away from the house before dropping back down.
